Production » Stage 1
Introduction
Stage One at 7,500 sq ft and with a height of 34 ft, is our largest stage.
The concrete Tank, housed underneath the floor boards, is suitable for both wet and dry builds and,
once exposed, can add a further nine feet to the overall height of the stage.
A camera pit at one end allows underwater viewing through a glass screen.
The electrically operated stage dock door leads to the street.
Famous for innumerable films, but notably, the two Beatles films,
Help and
A Hard Day's Night, also A Fish
Called Wanda
and An American Werewolf in London. More recently,
Kenneth Branagh's
Sleuth was shot on this stage.
